Show Notes

Discover what’s possible when behavioral science is creatively broadcasted.

Ryan O’Donnell is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, videographer, and entrepreneur. Through quick and easy-to-digest YouTube videos, he makes behavioral science publicly accessible so people of all ages can experience their version of success.

In the summer of 2019, Ryan collaborated with the Global Autism Project to document our training approach and highlight our partners at Kaizora Center for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities, in Kenya. You can watch these videos on his YouTube channel, The Daily BA

In previous episodes, we’ve talked about how Applied Behavior Analysis, or ABA, can be used to effectively treat individuals with autism. Given Ryan’s passion for disseminating behavioral science, and how it is often misunderstood, I thought he’d be the perfect person to come on the show and explain what it is exactly.

Ryan provides a condensed history of behavioral science — from early controversial practices of behavior modification to modern ABA used in autism services — as well as relatable examples of its applications.

Ryan also shares his experiences from working with the adult population and describes the different services that are available for families.
